These are images of my family, taken before and after the war. They have been blown up in size and printed on cardboard. Visitors are invited to touch and shuffle them.
Some, like the tiny portrait of my great-grandfather Moritz Schick, are the only surviving images of our ancestors. My great uncle Emil carried them with him during his flight from Vienna to Switzerland and on to the war zones in Italy and Algeria, until he finally found safety in Paris.
